In pregnant people compared to non-pregnant people…

  • Injection site pain was slightly more common
  • Headache, fever and chills were less common
  • Side effects were comparable for both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

Complications were no more common in vaccinated mothers compared to mothers before the pandemic. There were no reported neonatal deaths. This study covers people vaccinated during mid-to-late pregnancy, those vaccinated during early pregnancy were yet to give birth.
